Garmin Inreach Mini 3 Backpack Shoulder Strap Mount

A shoulder strap mount designed specifically for the Garmin inReach Mini 3 — no carabiner required. The honeycomb bracket holds the device securely while you hike, yet releases in seconds when you need it.

Fit Checklist — Verify Before Ordering

The mount ships with enough shock cord to fit most popular shoulder straps. Work through this checklist before purchasing:

• It comes with enough shock cord to fit straps up to 4 inches wide, if you need more shock cord, please let us know.
  
• ☐ Strap material allows the shock cord to cinch and hold without slipping (smooth nylon and webbing both work well)
• ☐ Sternum straps, buckles, or load-lifter webbing do not block the mounting zone

Merchant review checkpoint: If your pack's strap geometry is unusual, contact us before ordering — we are happy to help you assess fit.

Tested packs: Atom Pack Prospector (2.5 inches)and Zpacks Arc Haul (2.75 inches)— both fit with no issues. These are the only packs we have personally verified; other packs may work, but we recommend a test fit before your first trip.

Positioning the Mini 3

• Mount on the upper portion of the shoulder strap for the clearest sky view
• Orient the device so the antenna points upward and away from your body
• Antenna clearance: leave at least a few centimeters of open air above and to the sides of the antenna — avoid tucking it under a strap flap, hydration hose, or pack lid
• Reception-placement note: Good positioning supports satellite acquisition, but terrain, tree cover, and atmospheric conditions always affect reception regardless of mount placement. The mount does not guarantee any specific signal performance.

How to Attach the Mount

1. Thread the attachment shock cord through the bracket's mounting channel
2. Wrap the cord around your shoulder strap and tie it off securely — check tension before setting out
3. Drop the inReach Mini 3 into the bracket from the top until it seats
4. Loop the retention shock cord over the antenna end of the device
5. Give the device a firm but gentle tug to confirm it is seated securely

How to Remove the Mini 3

1. Slip the retention cord off the antenna
2. Lift the device straight up and out of the bracket

Care

• Wipe the bracket clean with a damp cloth; avoid prolonged soaking
• Inspect the shock cord before each trip — replace if frayed, kinked, or stretched out
• Store away from direct sunlight and heat when not in use to extend cord life
